As RFx professionals with clients in a wide variety of industries, we keep an eye out for new opportunities to drop. With a focus on web-based accounting software, this one caught our attention.

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is seeking proposals from bidders capable of providing and implementing a web-based accounting software system to manage the school district’s fund reports and other financial data. The proposed cloud-based software must be secure and user-friendly.

Ideally, MCPS would like to minimize the need for cash transactions in the following circumstances:

  1. Student financial obligations.
  2. Fee collection and remittance.
  3. Field trip accounting.
  4. Fundraiser activity approval, accounting, and completion reports.
  5. Textbook inventories.
  6. Ticket accounting and admissions control.
