As RFx professionals with clients in a wide variety of industries, we keep an eye out for new opportunities to drop. With a focus on leasing the Long Beach City Ice Arena, this one caught our attention.

The City of Long Beach, New York is seeking proposers interested in leasing, maintaining, and managing the City ice rink. The City currently offers monthly contract agreements to several outside youth hockey and personal training organizations for use of the ice rink and second floor. Lessees are encouraged to maintain these contracts and engage in more contracts as seen fit.

The lessee must “accommodate an agreed upon number of Long Beach events, free of charge, every year for the term of the lease.” The initial lease length is for five years but may be extended for up to two more two-year periods.

Proposers must be capable of operating and managing the following:

  1. Ice rink.
  2. Ice skate rental.
  3. Administrative office.
  4. First aid office.
  5. Facility restrooms.
  6. Additional party/meeting rooms.
  7. Snack bar (optional).
  8. Pro shop (optional).
