From the RFP: “The TS Kennedy is a U.S. Government owned “Public Nautical School Ship” provided to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy for the purpose of training young men and women for a career in the U.S. Maritime Industry.”

The U.S. Maritime Administration is looking for a contractor to conduct a special survey of the TS Kennedy. The contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary to survey the main propulsion machinery.

This opportunity is a small business set-aside for a contractor capable of performing inspections and maintenance of machinery items including:

1. Flexible couplings
2. Low pressure turbines
3. Main reduction gears
