RFx of the Day:
Federal Bureau of Prisons

As RFx professionals with clients in a wide variety of industries, we keep an eye out for new opportunities to drop. With a focus on fresh dairy and bread products, this one caught our attention.

The U.S. Bureau of Prisons is seeking bids from vendors looking to provide quarterly subsistence in the form of bread and dairy products at Federal Correctional Institution Ashland. This RFQ is a small business set-aside under NAICS code 31199.

Deliveries shall be made weekly beginning January 1st, 2021. The RFQ insists that it is incredibly important that all bidders are able to deliver in full and on time according to the RFQ schedule. “While we acknowledge COVID-19 is affecting us all and how we conduct business, it must be pointed out the serious nature of delays in our receiving food shipments. Simply put, a lack of food can lead to riots in the prison setting.”

Does your company have the capacity to provide large quantities dairy and bread products such as:

  • Nonfat milk
  • Cottage cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Eggs
  • Sandwich bread
  • Hamburger and hotdog buns
  • Dinner rolls
  • Texas toast

If so, you can find out more at https://beta.sam.gov/opp/8b0669f04da0444a85ffe1cc464b83ae/view?index=opp&page=2

Don’t delay. The deadline for proposals is 12/07/2020 by 2:00pm EST.
