Bedford Central School District in Bedford, New York, is seeking a firm to provide external audit services throughout a five year period. From June 30, 2021 to June 30, 2025 qualified firms are expected to manage the annual district budget audit.

The District’s scope includes the following:

  • 422 instruction personnel.
  • 17 administrators.
  • 302 support personnel.
  • Total 2021 budget of $139.7 million.

Companies must have experience with audits of the district’s scope and size as well as the personnel to ensure responsiveness and stability throughout the process.

“The annual audit of all funds of the District shall be performed in accordance with:

  1. Generally accepted auditing standards
  2. Standards promulgated by the New York State Comptroller
  3. Regulations of the Commissioner of Education
  4. Regulations of the Federal Government regarding Federal Funds.”
